Dr Rula Ali completed her medical degree at Auckland University. She spent the final time of her degree in Oxford where she did general surgery. On her return, Rula worked in emergency medicine and was part of the surgical trauma team in a leading centre in Auckland. As part of her surgical training, Rula moved to Australia.
Rula then decided to change paths from surgery to general practice to pursue other interests in family medicine, research and academia. She completed extra qualifications in skin cancer detection. Combining her surgical expertise, Rula provides comprehensive skin checks and performs surgical procedures to remove suspicious skin lesions.
Rula is currently the Director of the Practice Experience Program for NSW&ACT, and she is involved in governance as a Company Secretary.
